Tewksbury Summer AA Move Up League

 

Tewksbury Youth Baseball is excited to offer a unique opportunity for players during the summer of 2023. TYB will be holding a summer move up league, granted there is enough interest, preparing our younger players for the next level of their baseball careers. This is an opportunity for your children to take advantage of the following:

  • Exposure to the division playing rules your child is moving in to
  • Opportunity to learn additional baseball skills from our team of volunteers who possess a vast baseball background
  • Focusing coaching on pitching techniques and skills
  • Obtain quality structured practices and scrimmages
  • Play baseball with friends .... and even make new ones

Below are some of the frequently asked questions regarding this league:

Is my child eligible for this league?

  • This clinic is for 6, 7, & 8 year olds. Unfortunately, we need to keep the league to this age group range for the safety of the younger kids playing against older kids.

My child is registered but how do I know what team he is on?

Will there be practices and games?

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays. These days will be a combination of clinics focusing on skills, practices, and games.
  • 5:30 - 7:00 PM

What is the fee for this league?

  • No fee for Tewksbury residents.

How long does this league run for?

  • Starts June 20th
    • Opening Night will be at Ernest Field!
  • No events during the week of July 4th
  • Ends July 27th

Do I have to purchase a uniform for my child?

  • No uniform is necessary but players are encouraged to show up in baseball pants, baseball hat and appropriate shirt (past uniform shirt or baseball shirt).
  • Bring cleats, glove, bat and water. 
  • If you don't have certain items, contact us and we will see what we have to borrow. 

How do I register for the league?

  • There is no formal registration, however, we have created a simple form and ask if you are interested to fill this out. This will help us coordinate logistics for the league and stay in communication with all those participating. If the form is not filled out, this doesn't restrict you from participating.

What if I haven't registered and the league started already?

  • We should be able to accommodate you, please contact Doug Ullrich and he will guide you to a team.
